How to create and use the Send-to-Messenger growth tool?

In this article, you'll learn to create Send-to-Messenger growth tool.

The "Send to Messenger" plugin triggers an authentication event to your webhook. When you pass in data, the entire user and transaction is tied to this event. With this information, you can link it with users on your back-end.

The first time a person clicks on this button, they will be prompted with a confirmation popup.

Getting started with Send to Messenger

  1. Click Facebook & Instagram on the Navigation Pane and Select Growth Tools

  2. Select your Facebook or Instagram Page

  3. Click on Add New Growth Tool > Send to Messenger

  4. Enter Name and Select Chatbot Flow and other details

    In case of any doubts, Please follow the table below:

    Parameter

    Description

    Enter Your Growth Tool Name

    Provide a name for your tool.

    Messenger Confirmation Message

    Select the messenger flow to use. You can also create a new flow or edit an existing flow, here.

    Enter Domain Where You Will Use This Growth Tool

    Enter a valid domain in the https://domain.com format.

    This will help in whitelisting the domain name.

    Reference

    Provide the unique reference for processing the growth tool by Facebook bots. It also serves as an ID, that you can use for tracking later.

    Select Label

    Select the label to be applied to the users from this conversation.

    Select language

    Select the language to be used for Send to Messenger Plugin.

    Select Your Call To Action:

    Select a Call to Action from 15+ predefined CTA's

    Plugin Skin

    Select the theme for the plugin from Blue or White.

    Plugin Size

    Select the display size of the plug-in from Standard, Large, or Extra Large.

    Redirect To Website After Submit?

    Select this option to redirect the user to a website after they submit the form.

    Enter Your Success Message On The Checkbox

    Define a message to be displayed on successful submission.

    Button Test

    Enter the text to be displayed as the button name.

    Button Redirect Url

    Enter the website for redirecting the user when they click the button,  in the https://domain.com format.

    Button format

    Select the colors to define the button, for:

    • Background

    • Text

    • Button Hover

    • Text Hover

  5. Click Next > You'll get an embed code.

  6. Copy Embed Code to use on your website.

  7. Click on Submit to save your changes.
